Tom Milsom Music Video Mindmap

Digipak Research

BFI Music Video Regulation Notes

Album Cover

We have decided on this image of Adash for our Album cover, however we now have to work out the compostion and the title. We have to crop the photo into a square format for the Digipak, which means that we are going to have to get rid of some of the overal image, abover and four different crop variations. For the typology we liked a clear bold font, initally we liked a nude colour however after experimenting with white we found that we liked that as well however we found that particular colour a bit too garish. I like the bottom left for the cropping however the top right has a nicer positioning of the font, although I would prefer it in either white or a more aesthetically pleasing nude, with less pink.

Jellyfish at The Dalas Aquarium

I visited Dallas over christmas, on my trip I visited the Dallas Aquarium which has an extrodinary collection including, Crocidiles, a panther, minature penguins, manatees and of course Jellyfish! I took these photos for my digipak, however they are too low a resolution to use as a main pannel, but I could still use them as a layer or an overlapping feature.

Editing

In todays lesson we edited the music video, we have decided to cut out the shots of Adash in the park in the opening as we think they are incongorous with the rest of the piece. However, we all really like the clip of Adash laughing in the opening and don't want to delete it if possible, a suitable alternative however would be to find a similar clip but with jellyfish projections instead of in the park setting. We worked on transitioning Adash and the Jellyfish by using multiple layers to show Jellyfish in the sky before moving on to a shot of Adash with jellyfish projections.
